Men's Tennis Drops 7-0 Decision To Arizona

Tucson, AZ - The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team dropped a 7-0 decision to the University of Arizona on Sunday afternoon.
"We had a great match with Arizona today," Head Coach Tim Downey stated. "They are a solid and deep team but the UCR men gave a terrific effort."
The Wildcats took the doubles point with an 8-3 win at number one and an 8-1 win at number two.
In singles, UA won in straight sets in all six matches to procure the victory.
"Each match we are improving and I keep seeing more positives in their court positioning and tactics," Downey continued. "We're coming around. Nobody better take us lightly anymore."
The Highlanders now travel to Los Angeles to play a neutral site match against Saint Mary's on Saturday, February 23 at 12:00 pm PT.
