UNLV Tops Men's Tennis, 7-0

Las Vegas, NV—The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team concluded its Las Vegas road trip Sunday morning with a 7-0 loss at host UNLV.
The Rebels clamed the doubles point with an 8-1 win at number one, and an 8-3 victory at number three.
In singles, UNLV won all six matches to earn the victory. UCR's Kevin Griffin took his match to a tiebreaker at number five, faling 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7).
"UNLV was another solid test for us and yet again, proved encouraging in that we know we can compete at this level, we just need refinement," Head Coach Tim Downey explained.
The Highlanders return to Riverside for their 2013 home opener on Thursday, February 7 at noon against Riverside Community College at Andulka Park.
