Roberts Wins At #1 Singles For Men's Tennis In 6-1 Loss To LMU

Riverside - The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team lost a 6-1 decision to Loyola Marymount Saturday at Andulka Park.
The Lions took the doubles point with wins at the top two flights, but UCR's Calvin Ngo and Luis Gastao won their match at #3, 9-8.
In singles, Jimmy Roberts defeated Othar Kordsachia 6-4, 6-3 at number one for the Highlanders lone point of the match, but LMU won in the other five to seal the win.
Two other matches went into three sets, as Julian Ruffin lost 0-6, 6-2, 7-5 at #3, and Marcus Vizcarra dropped a 6-4, 6-7, 7-6 match at #6.
Next up for the Highlanders is a March 17 contest against Portland at 11 am PT at Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside.
