McKay And Bergeson Win In Singles As Women's Tennis Falls 4-2 To Cal Poly

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team continued Big West Conference play Sunday morning with a 4-2 loss to Cal Poly at Andulka Park.
Doubles were not played, and in singles, four of the six matches went to a third set, with the Highlanders splitting those matches.
Natalie McKay proved victorious at number four, defeating Kathryn Webb 3-6, 6-2, 4-3. Kate Bergeson also earned a win, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 over Haley Kepler at #6.
The other two singles matches that went to three sets were won by the Mustangs as Jamie Raney lost at #1, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1, and Kat Saltarelli dropped a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 decision to Ane McPike at number three.
Cal Poly took the matches at numbers two and five, though, to secure the 4-2 win.
The Highlanders have just one regular season match remaining, traveling to Cal State Fullerton on April 18 at 2 pm PT in Fullerton, CA.
