Men's Tennis Falls To #73 Cal Poly, 7-0

San Luis Obispo, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team concluded its central coast road trip Sunday afternoon with a 7-0 loss to #73 Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo Country Club.
The Mustangs swept the doubles matches to earn the first point of the day, and won in straight sets in singles in five of the six matches. Kelly Dickson took Gannon Daynes to a tiebreaker before falling, 6-3, 4-6, 10-6 at #6 for the Highlanders.
"We played Cal Poly very tough," Head Coach Tim Downey stated. "We were much more solid in strategies and our execution has really improved.
"We are not an easy out. The hard work is paying off and we are constantly improving."
Next up for UC Riverside is a three-match homestand beginning on April 17 against UC Irvine at 12 pm PT at Andulka Park.
