Men's Golf Heads To Saint Mary's Invitational For 54-Hole Event Starting Monday

Seaside, CA—Fresh off a dual-match victory over California Baptist University on Tuesday (recap), The UC Riverside Men's Golf Team heads up the coast for the Saint Mary's Invitational at Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Club on September 23-24. Live Scoring
The event is 54 holes with 36 being played on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The first round goes off at 8:00 am PT at Bayonet Golf Club and continues on Blackhorse at approximately 1:30 pm for the second round. On Tuesday, the tournament concludes with a final 18-hole round at 8:00 am at Bayonet GC.
The 19 schools in the invitational are Akron, Ball State, California, Cal State Northridge, Florida Gulf Coast, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Kansas State, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, North Carolina State, Oregon, St. John's, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara, UC Irvine, host Saint Mary's, and the Highlanders.
Two years ago UC Riverside competed in the Saint Mary's Invitational, tying for 10th place out of 15 squads (recap).
Bayonet & Blackhorse are steeped in rich tradition, and have played host to PGA Tour greats such as Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tom Watson, as well as several U.S. Presidents and foreign dignitaries. Additionally, the two courses continue to host PGA Tour Q-School events.
