Riverside—The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team is looking to extend its two game winning streak to three on Saturday, February 22, with a 7 pm PT tip against Cal Poly at the SRC Arena.

The Highlanders snapped their 16-game losing skid last week with a win over UC Irvine, and made it two in a row Thursday with a 10-point win over UC Santa Barbara (box score/recap). Brittany Crain scored 31 points and added 11 rebounds to lead UC Riverside in that game, increasing her league-leading scoring average to 19.1 ppg.

After opening Big West play with an 8-1 record, Cal Poly has lost its last three straight, including a one-point heartbreaker, 78-77, at Cal State Fullerton on Thursday.

The reigning Big West Player of the Year, Molly Schlemer, leads the Mustangs in scoring and rebounding, averaging 17.7 points and 10.2 rebounds. Ariana Elegado is a close second in scoring at 16.5 ppg, while Jonae Ervin rounds out the trio of double-figure scorers with 11.6 points per game.

Cal Poly defeated the Highlanders in the teams' first meeting this season, 89-72, on January 25 (box score/recap). The Mustangs have won the last five against UCR, and own the slimmest of all-time margins, 32-31 (view all-time results).
