Softball Concludes Opening Weekend Of Play With 11-1 Loss At #7 ASU

Tempe, AZ - The UC Riverside Softball Team concluded its opening weekend of action Sunday afternoon with an 11-1 loss in five innings at #7 Arizona State (Box Score).
The Highlanders gave up four runs in the first inning, two each in the second and third, and three more in the fourth.
UCR got on the scoreboard with a solo run in the fourth, as Sommer Wilson singled to lead off the frame, and scored on an error by the ASU second baseman following a single from Natalie Sanchez.
UC Riverside now prepares for the Fresno State Kick Off February 14-16 with games against Bakersfield, Sacramento State, Southern Utah, and the host Bulldogs.
