Men's Tennis Hangs Tough In 7-0 Loss To Army

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team battled the Army Black Knights Sunday in a 7-0 loss.
Army came out winning the doubles point with identical 8-2 wins at the top and bottom flights, and in singles, the Black Knights swept all six matches to seal the win.
The Highlanders hung tough in singles, however, and had two that went to three sets before falling.
"The guys gave a gallant effort but Army just had too many guns," Head Coach Tim Downey stated. "It was an honor to host them and it is our hope that these are the most serious battles they must ever face."
UC Riverside now takes a break from action to study for finals and returns at Azusa Pacific on April 4 at 12 pm PT.
