UCSB Earns Sweep Over Men's Tennis

Riverside, CA - The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team returned to Big West Conference action Sunday with a 7-0 loss to UC Santa Barbara.
The Gauchos took the doubles point with identical 8-3 wins at numbers two and three.
In singles, UCR's Luis Gastao won his first set 6-4 before falling in a tiebreaker at #1 to Tobin Galskov, 7-5, 10-3. The other five matches went in favor of UCSB for the win.
"We played with much better energy today," Head Coach Tim Downey stated. "We fought hard like we should, and ready to make a run. UCSB played tough but we are closer to where we need to be mentally on the court. Now, we just need to get healthy. We'll be there soon. Let's go Highlanders!"
The Highlanders continue league play hosting Hawai'i on Monday, April 14 for a noon PT match at Andulka Park in Riverside.
