Cross Country Travels To The Bay Area For Stanford Invitational Saturday

Palo Alto, CA—Coming off top-five finishes at the UCR Invitational two weeks ago, the UC Riverside Cross Country Teams are back in action this Saturday, September 27 competing in the 41st Annual Stanford Invitational at Stanford Golf Course. The men's 8k collegiate race begins at 9:50 am PT with the women's 6k collegiate race following at 10:30 am. Live Scoring.

The event is one of the largest cross country meets in the country with nearly 3,500 high school and collegiate runners participating. There are over 40 teams running in the collegiate races, highlighted by the nationally ranked Cardinal, ranked fourth in the country for women, and fifth for men.

Among the Division I teams participating, there are 14 squads regionally ranked in the West Region. On the men's side, Stanford (2nd) leads the way followed by Cal (7th), Cal Poly (8th), Washington State (10th), UC Santa Barbara (12th), Santa Clara (14th), and Loyola Marymount (15th). On the women's side, Stanford (2nd) again leads the way followed by Loyola Marymount (8th), San Francisco (9th), Cal (10th), Cal Poly (11th), Washington State (13th), and UC Santa Barbara (15th).
