Women's Golf Finishes Third At The Gold Rush Presented By Southern California For Dealers

Seal Beach, CA—UC Riverside Women's Golf fired the third-lowest score through three rounds at The Gold Rush presented by Southern California Ford Dealers over Monday and Tuesday. Day 1 Results / Day 2 Results.

Haley Wian shot a 76 in the final round of the tournament for a total score of 277 when combined with her first two round of 71 and 80. She ended the tournament 11 over par, placing her in a tie for 14th. Wian was 11 strokes behind the individual winner No. 72 Lea Garner from Brigham Young.

Hannah Facchini, Brittani Ferraro, and Savannah Vilaubi also finished in the top-20 tying at No. 16. They concluded with a total score 228, just one stroke behind teammate Wian.

The Highlanders shot a team total 907 in a tie for third, moving up two spots from day one, with Brigham Young. Long Beach State took home the team victory firing 883.

UC Riverside finished ahead of fellow Big West members Cal Poly, Hawai'i, UC Irvine, and Cal State Fullerton.

The Highlanders will compete in The Grand Canyon Invitational Feb. 23-25 in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
