Riverside—The UC Riverside Baseball Team's nine-game home stand continues this weekend with a three-game series against Tulane. First pitch Friday is slated for 6 pm PT, while Saturday's game begins at 1 pm, and Sunday's first pitch is at 11 am.
The Highlanders are coming off of a 25-0 victory over North Dakota on Sunday (

recap) which saw UC Riverside score its most runs since they topped UC Davis 26-7 on May 29, 2010 (

recap).
Right-hander Angel Landazuri (1-3, 2.81) gets the start for the Highlanders on Friday. Two of Landazuri's losses have come in games where he allowed just one earned run, but the UCR offense was shutout.
Lefty Kevin Sprague will go on Saturday. He is coming off of his best start since opening day throwing seven complete innings while scattering four hits in the 25-0 win over North Dakota.
Sunday's starter has yet to be announced.
Tulane enters the week with a 16-5 record and wins in each of its last four games. The Green Wave swept San Francisco earlier in the season, and also has two wins against Pepperdine and a win over Gonzaga on its ledger.
Tulane has done it with pitching so far in 2015 as they boast a collective ERA of 1.56 and are allowing opposing batters to hit just .199 off of them. Right-hander Corey Merrill (1-1, 1.38) will start on Friday, followed by RHP Emerson Gibbs (2-0, 0.69) on Saturday and RHP Tim Yandel (2-0, 1.65) on Sunday.
The Green Wave have an offensive slash line of .260/.348/.380, and are led by Stephen Alemais who is hitting .349/.407/.494. Tulane has 14 home runs on the year led by Hunter Hope and Hunter Williams who have three apiece.
The Highlanders are 0-4 all-time against the Green Wave (
