Littleton Leads Heptathlon After Day One Of UC Riverside Spring Track Classic

Riverside—Senior Danielle Littleton leads the Heptathlon after the first day of competition at UC Riverside's Spring Track Classic with 3,088 points—74 points ahead of North Dakota's Rose Jackson, and 94 ahead of Oregon State's Kara Hallock.

Littleton began Thursday with a win in the 100m Hurdles posting a time of 13.94. She tied for fifth in the High Jump clearing 1.60m, and placed 10th in the Shot Put with a top mark of 9.34m. Littleton concluded the day with a second-place finish in the 200m finishing in 25.08.

UC Riverside's Jazmine Harper is in fifth place and Jacquleyn DuBoise is in 13th.

The three remaining Heptathlon events begin at noon today with the Long Jump, followed by the Javelin and 800m.
