
Annelise Ito Matches Career-High 24 Points In, 76-66 Loss To Long Beach State

Long Beach- The UC Riverside Women's Basketball Team concludes its regular season campaign 17-13 overall and an even 8-8 in the conference after falling to Long Beach State Saturday, 76-66.
The Highlanders were led by Annelise Ito who matched her career-high in back-to-back games with 24 points making good on 11-of-18 attempts from the floor. She was just one rebound away from recording a double-double.
Akilah Martin added 13 points the Highlanders cause, draining three attempts from behind the arc. Senior Dynese Adams registered 11 points for her ninth double-digit scoring performance this season. Simone DeCoud rounded out the top-scorers with 10 points and handing out a game-high seven assists to match her season-high.
The Highlanders were outmatched under the boards, pulling down 27 rebounds to the 49ers, 37, but took advantage of 17 Long Beach state miscues, converting them into 16 points.
The Highlanders will be back in action at the Big West Conference Tournament beginning Tuesday, March 10.
