Las Vegas, NV—The UC Riverside Baseball Team heads back out on the road this Tuesday for a 3:05 pm PT first pitch at UNLV. It is the second meeting in two weeks between the clubs, as the Highlanders picked up an 8-6, 11-inning victory over the Rebels at The Plex one week ago (

UCR nearly picked up its first Big West Series win over the weekend, but they sandwiched a pair of one-run losses at CSUN around a 5-3 victory on Saturday (

Jesus Gonzalez (1-3, 7.94) is making his fourth start of the season for the Highlanders. His last start came back on March 25 vs. Oregon (

UNLV is coming off of a three-game sweep of Air Force over the weekend which included a pair of one-run games, one of which went into extra innings. Those wins helped the Rebels improve their record to 16-9 at Wilson Stadium.
Five UNLV regulars are hitting better than .300 on the season led by Dylan Ellis' .357. He also leads the team with a .520 slugging percentage. Erik VanMeetren paces the Rebels with a .448 on base percentage, and as a team, they are hitting .277/.353/.367.
Left-hander Corey Wilson (1-1. 7.32) gets his first start of the season Tuesday for the Rebels. He has logged 19.2 innings in relief on the year, allowing 34 hits and 10 walks. Opponents are hitting .382 against him on the year.
