Flagstaff, AZ—Vesta Bell broke her school record in the indoor weight throw Saturday afternoon, besting her 2015 mark by more than half a meter (19.98m to 19.40m). That helped the UC Riverside's Women's Track & Field Team to a fourth place finish at the Northern Arizona Mountain T's Invitational, where they finished ahead of the likes of Arizona State, Southern Utah, UC Santa Barbara and San Jose State (

On the men's side, Michael Harris (14.27m) and Darren Richardson Jr. (14.22m) finished first and second in the Triple Jump as the team finished in third place overall, in front of Arizona State and Southern Utah.
The Highlanders are off next weekend but return to the indoor track on the weekend of February 12-13 at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Washington.
