Romario Lomeli Named To NSCAA All-Far West Region Second Team

Riverside—The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced this week that UC Riverside senior midfielder Romario Lomeli was named to the All-Far West Region Second Team. The Highlanders have had seven players earn All-region accolades over the past six seasons (View all-time list of NSCAA all-region honorees).
Lomeli led the Big West Conference in assists (9) during the regular season, and finish third in points (19). Early in the year, he became the Highlanders career leader in assists, and the Panorama City, California native also led the team in goals with five.
At the conclusion of conference play, he was named to the All-Big West First Team—the third such all-conference honor for Lomeli, who was also named to the Big West All-Freshman Team in 2013.
