Stanford, CA—While their teammates took part in the Cal State Fullerton Five-Way Meet over the weekend, Faith Makau and Cody Jordan traveled to Stanford, California to compete in the Payton Jordan Invitational. The invitational brings top teams and individuals from all over the country to the west coast, and this year included participants from the likes of Michigan, Washington, Florida State, Oregon, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State
Faith Makau ran the 800m and 1,500m on the Women's side finishing in 2:07.81 and 4:23.42 respectively. Her 800m time was her top mark of the season, and is the best time in the Big West Conference this year by nearly two seconds. Her 1,500m was just over a second back of her best time this year of 4:22.18 established at the Mt. SAC Relays. Makau ranks second in the Big West this season in the 1,500m.
On the Men's side, Cody Jordan ran the 1,500m in 3:48.56. That is just over two seconds off of his top time for the 2016 season. Jordan ranks third in the Big West in the 1,500 and 13th in the 800m.
