Box Score College Station, TX—The UC Riverside Women's Soccer Team put a scare into the number eight team in the nation Sunday evening, but Texas A&M overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to defeat the Highlanders, 2-1.
Ashley Webb put UC Riverside on top in the 21st minute, as her header off of a Blanca Barrio cross beat the Aggies keeper to the left side of the goal. The assist is the 14th of Barrio's UCR career, and puts her one behind Tyler Cunningham for first place on the Highlanders career assist chart.

Texas A&M struck again just 66 seconds later as Pounds scored her fifth goal of the season to put the Aggies on top.
UC Riverside pushed for the equalizer over the final 29 minutes of play, but A&M was able to hold on for the 2-1 victory.
The Highlanders return home this weekend to host Seattle on Thursday, September 22 at 7 pm PT, and CSU Bakersfield on Sunday, September 25 at 6 pm.
