Men's Soccer Receives Forfeit Win Over San Jose State

Riverside—The UC Riverside Men's Soccer Team had its 2-2 tie against San Jose State from September 23 changed to a forfeit victory today, as the Spartans were forced to forfeit the match due to the use of an ineligible player, who should have been serving a red card suspension. All statistics from the match remain the same, but the final result is considered to be a 2-0 UCR victory in double overtime.
The Highlanders now enter tonight's Big West home opener against UC Santa Barbara with a 5-4-0 record, which is the top non-conference record among South Division conference teams, and the second best record overall.
Kick off tonight at the UC Riverside Soccer Stadium is 7 pm PT.
