Women's Tennis Matches 1 & 2

Saturday, January 21 at San Diego State @ 9 am San Diego, CA Sunday, January 22 vs. Grand Canyon @ 11 am SRC Tennis Center-Riverside, CA

Riverside–The UCR Women's Tennis Team opens the 2017 season with an away match versus San Diego State at 9:00 am PT Saturday, January 21. On Sunday, January 22 the Highlanders entertain Grand Canyon University at the SRC Tennis Center at 11 am.
           
Saturday morning's match-up will also be the Aztecs' season opener. They finished last season 7-17 overall and were 0-4 in the Mountain West Conference. When the Aztecs and Highlanders met last year, the Aztecs came out on top with a 6-1 win in San Diego.
           
GCU and UCR will both be playing their second matches of the season against each other on Sunday at 11 am in the SRC Tennis Center.

Grand Canyon travels to UC Irvine on Friday, before heading to the Inland Empire. Last season, the Lopes finished with a record of 9-8 overall and 4-1 in the WAC. Last January, the Highlanders fell to the Lopes 7-0.
