Riverside–The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team fell, 7-0, to the University of Arkansas in their 2017 season opener at the SRC Tennis Center.
The Razorbacks got out the to an early advantage taking the matches on courts no. 1 and 2 of doubles to earn the point, and suspend play on court no. 3.Â
Freshman Lauren Wolfe rebounded from dropping the first set 6-0, to push her match against Sasha Shkorupeieva to 7-5 in the second set, before eventually dropping the line 4 singles match-up.
Kassie Truong battled in her line 6 singles match with Peyton Jennings, but fell in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
The Highlanders return to action Saturday with Big West play against CSUN in the SRC Tennis Center at 11 am.
