Irvine, CA—The UC Riverside Women's Golf Team moved up three places, tying for seventh after the final round of the UC Irvine Invitational, Tuesday.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
Jakeishya Le improved twelve places over the final round of the UC Irvine Invitational, and tied for 10th overall in the tournament. She had her best final round of the season charting a 71, and her second-best overall finish. Le's best finishing position this year was a tie for fifth at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on September 30-October 1st (

Le led the Highlanders on the Par 3s, shooting an even par, which was the seventh best score of the tournament. She also led UCR on the Par 4s, tying for seventh overall at +1. Le tied for 12th overall in birdies with eight, and shot par or better on 42 of the tournament's 54 holes.
Jakeishya Le and Hana Furuichi each shot an eagle in the third round of the tournament.
Hana Furuichi tied for 21st overall on the Par 5s at +1.
Julia Sander tied for fifth best overall on pars, shooting 37 over the 54-hole course.
Hailey White's best holes were the Par 4s, where she shot +3 and was tied for 11th best overall. White tied for 11th overall in pars with 35.
The Highlanders shot 164 pars during the tournament, second only to UC Irvine's 173 pars for first place.
The other Big West teams that competed in the tournament were Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton, and host UC Irvine. Long Beach State and UC Irvine both had A and B teams competing. UC Riverside tied with Cal State Fullerton for seventh. The Highlanders were thirteen strokes back of sixth place UC Irvine's A team, and fourteen strokes back of Long Beach State's B team. Long Beach State's A team finished first in the tournament.
