Riverside—The UC Riverside Men's Basketball Team (2-2) jumped back into the win column Wednesday evening with a 75-57 victory over visiting Western New Mexico (1-5).

The Highlanders trailed 19-16 with 7:04 to go in the first, but scored seven straight, and 13 of the next 15 points to take a lead they would never relinquish.
GAME NOTES
Alex Larsson (14) reached double figures in scoring for the fourth time this season. Chance Murray (14) reached that mark for the second time this year, posting a season-high.
DJ Sylvester, who had just two points coming into tonight's game, finished with a season-high 12. He also grabbed a career-high tying eight rebounds.

The Highlanders held the Mustangs to 30.2 percent shooting from the field, which is the lowest opponent field goal percentage of the season for UCR. UC Riverside has held two of its four opponents to under 31 percent shooting from the field (Cal - 30.6%)
After playing just three minutes in the first three games of the season, Koh Flippin logged 17 minutes Wednesday and scored a season-high eight points.
Jayvon Brown made his first appearance of the season for the Highlanders.
