
Sylvester Scores Season-High 18 Points, But Men's Basketball Falls, 77-61, At Montana

Missoula, MT—DJ Sylvester scored a season-high 18 points, Sunday afternoon, but it wasn't enough as the UC Riverside Men's Basketball Team (3-7) dropped a 77-61 decision on the road to host Montana (6-4).
KEY RUNS
Montana scored the first nine points of the game, holding the Highlanders scoreless for the first five minutes and 22 seconds. UC Riverside got within four on two occasions in the first, but trailed by 12, 33-21, at the half. Menno Dijkstra scored the first basket of the second half to make it a 10-point game, but the Griz scored the next 17 to take control.
GAME NOTES
DJ Sylvester scored in double figures for the third time this season, netting a team-high and season-high 18 points. It is the first time he has led the team in scoring this season.
Brandon Rosser scored in double figures for the fourth time this season (13 points), and the first time since November 18 vs. Portland State.
The Highlanders starting guard combo of Dikymbe Martin and Chance Murray went a combined one for 12 from the field and scored five points.
No member of the Highlanders played more than 28 minutes, and 10 players logged at least 11 minutes of action.
UC Riverside's bench outscored its starters 37-24.
