Phoenix, AZ–The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team knocked off Arizona Christian, 5-2, to earn a split on the day having fallen earlier in the day to Grand Canyon, 5-1.
Against the Arizona Christian Fireman, the Highlanders had to come back after being swept in the three doubles matches. Kyle McCann picked up the first singles point of the match via a straight sets victory over Enzo Doulllac, 6-3, 6-2 on line two singles.
Cooper Bridge outlasted Albeeto Lapiedra, 7-5. 7-5. in the no. 1 position to add to Highlander tally. Nabil Abdallah and Anderson Ju folllowed suit by prevailing in straight sets to secure the match victory for the Highlanders.
"Arizona Christian came out with a lot of energy in doubles, which we did not match." said Coach Johansson. "I was happy to see us respond being six hours in on the day. Our conditioning proved to be the difference down the stretch."

In the first match of the day, UCR was upended 5-1 by GCU with the lone point coming from Ju on court no. 6 singles.
