Greensboro, NC–The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team is traveling across the country for their Spring Break trip. The Highlanders will play six matches over five days along the East Coast.

They start their trip off with pair of matches in Greensboro, NC against Guilford at 8:30 am, and versus North Carolina A&T at noon. The Highlanders will then travel to Buies Creek, NC to take on Campbell Tuesday, March 28 at 12pm.

The team will cross the state lines for a trio of matches beginning with Norfolk State Wednesday, before heading to Radford Thursday in a battle for the Highlander name.

Coach Johnasson's squad will return to North Carolina to conclude the trip with a 10 am match at North Carolina Central.

The Highlanders are coming off a four-match Arizona trip in which they went 2-2, their last match was a 0-4 loss to Northern Arizona University.

Leading the way so far for the Highlanders this season in singles has been Senior Captain Cooper Bridge, who was just named the Big West Conference Play of the Week for the second time in his career (story). Bridge has an overall record of 10-8 playing primarily at the no. 1 spot.

On the doubles court, the tandem of freshman Max Cohen and sophomore Kyle McCann have lead the squad with a record of 10-4. The pair has played primarily at the no. 3 spot.

The Highlanders stand at 9-11 through 20 contests, exactly one win behind of last year's pace. They will have a chance over this trip to tie or even pass their record breaking performance last year of 13 wins.
