Los Angeles, CA–The UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team dropped a 4-0 decision at LMU Wednesday afternoon.

The Lions snagged the doubles point thanks to a 6-0 victory in no. 1 doubles, and a 6-2 win at line three leaving Tracy Van and Lauren Wolfe's line two match unfinished with the score 4-3 LMU.

In singles play, the Highlanders dropped the first two matches to finish each by the score of 6-0, 6-0 leaving them facing a 3-0 deficit. Midway through the second set of the four matches still in play, UCR led one and were tied in the other three.

The Lions however, prevailed in the next match to finish, no. 3 singles. 6-1, 6-3 to earn the 4-0 victory. Tamilla Vaksman and Sarah Khattab each won six games, and were within striking distance when the match ended.

The team heads to UC Davis to resume Big West play Thursday against the Aggies at 4 pm.
