Late Goal Not Enough As Men's Soccer Falls 2-1 At LMU

Los Angeles, CA—Despite a late goal by junior Antonio Lokossou, the UC Riverside Men's Soccer Team (0-7-0) was unable to overcome a 2-0 deficit at LMU (2-5-2), falling 2-1 in its 2017 non-conference finale Sunday afternoon.
GAME NOTES
Lokossou's goal in the 87th minute was his team-leading second of the season. He is now tied with sophomore Anthony Lopez with a team-high four points.
UC Riverside has now scored at least one goal in three of its last four games on the road.
The Highlanders recorded a season-high with 18 shots, led by Lokossou with six. Lokossou had six shots in his first five games this season combined.
Over its last three outings, UCR has had 50 shots. That's the most over a three-game span since the 2014 season.
