TOURNAMENT NOTES
Serena Chon moved up four spots Tuesday, and would be leading the tournament were it not for two other-worldly performances by Arizona's Haley Moore (sister of UC Riverside Men's Golfer Tyler Moore) and Denver's Mary Weinstein. Moore shot a tournament-best 64 on Tuesday and improved 26 spots on the leader board, while Weinstein logged a 66 and moved up 25 positions.
Hannah Facchini was the big mover of the day for the Highlanders, jumping 19 spots Tuesday, shooting a season-low 73.
Hana Furuichi improved eight spots Tuesday, carding a season-best 76.
Of the 18 teams participating in the Golfweek Conference Challenge, 11 participated in the NCAA postseason a year ago.
Facchini and Jakeishya Le led the Highlanders with four birdies apiece, Tuesday.
