RIVERSIDE, Calif.— Early this week the United Soccer Coaches organization announced its 2018 NCAA Scholar All-Region Teams naming senior Dusan Keca, of UC Riverside Men's Soccer, to the West Region Team. This is the first time a Highlander has received this award since KC John in 2014.
SCHOLAR ALL-WEST REGION TEAM
To be eligible for this award a student-athlete must have a 3.30 cumulative grade point average, must start more than 50 percent of all games, and be an elite player that contributes to the success of the team. Only 11 student-athletes are chosen to each region.
Keca proved this and more as the anchor for the Big West Champion Highlanders' defense that played phenomenally to close out the season. The team's captain also earned a Big West Conference Honorable Mention.
