Box Score Fayetteville, N.C.— Tuesday morning the UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team swept Methodist University 9-0 in a nine-point style dual match. The Highlanders then began a match with Chowan, but were only able to play the doubles round, where UCR took a 2-1 lead, before having to postpone the match due to weather. The two teams are set to play the singles portion this Friday .

The Highlanders won every match on the day losing just two games in the doubles round and just one set in the singles round.
The freshman duo of Pawel Jankowiak and
Vignesh Subramanyan swept its opponents 6-0 on court one and the team of
Nabil Abdallah and
Anderson Ju added a 6-0 win of its own on court three.
In singles play UCR took five of its six wins in straight sets including three nearly perfect matches on the lower courts from Abdallah, Subramanyan, and Ju. All three players only gave up two games each in their singles matchups.
Abdallah defeated Trent Hamer 6-1, 6-1 on court four and Subramanyan added a 6-2, 6-0 win on court five over Hayden Wilfong. On court six Ju dropped Methodist's Jack Holloway 6-1, 6-1 to help UCR to its 9-0 overall match win.
CHOWAN
When UCR and Chowan begin the singles round this Friday, the Highlanders will open with a 2-1 lead after winning two doubles matches Tuesday afternoon, before having to postpone due to rain.
The team of Abdallah and Ju added its second doubles win on the day on court three outlasting Louis Proulx and Rafael Goncalves 8-6.
Kyle McCann and
Filip Engstrom gave UCR a second doubles win on court two defeating Mariano Yeh and Mateusz Izycki 8-4.
The Hawks took a win on court one cutting the Highlander lead 2-1.
