Malibu, Calif.— Sunday night, the UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team (14-13) fell in a non conference match 4-0 to Pepperdine (5-13).
In the double round, the Waves claimed courts one and three to take the point. The duo of 
Filip Engstrom and 
Kyle McCann held a 5-4 lead over the team of Brian Berdusco and Max Mendelsohn on court two before play was stopped.
In singles play, the Highlanders found success on court six as 
Vignesh Subramanyan was on his way to his 20th career singles win before play was stopped. The freshman  was just a few games away leading Mendelsohn 7-6, 3-1 before halting due to the end of the match. Junior 
Kyle McCann also held a 2nd set lead on court three after being edged out in the 1st to Dane Esses.
Court three, five, and six all went unfinished after Pepperdine clinched the overall match 4-0.
UC Riverside is back on the SRC Tennis Courts this Wednesday as the Highlanders host Hope International at 9:30 AM.
