MANOA, Hawaii.- The UC Riverside Women's Volleyball Team fell 3-0 Saturday night on the road at Hawaii. The Rainbow Wahine grabbed their three sets 15-19-17 to improve to 4-0 in conference.
Senior setter Chelsea Doyle was a bright spot for the Highlanders as she led the team with 19 assists and nine digs.
UC Riverside had its best showing in the 2nd besting Hawaii in the kill battle 10-8, but the Rainbow Wahine had the edge taking the set 25-19.
The Highlanders showed off their defense all night leading the match with seven blocks and tying Hawaii with 35 digs,
The UCR attack was led by sophomore Yuliya Ushakova and freshman Nailah Jones who notched 7 and 6 kills, respectively.
UC Riverside will now head to UC Davis this Thursday night to take on the Aggies.
