Cross Country Finishes Regular Season at Titan Invitational

FULLERTON, Calif. – The UC Riverside Cross Country teams will wrap up their season at the Titan Invitational in Fullerton on Friday, October 25. The meet comes after the Highlanders had their most successful finish of the season at the Highlander Invitational last weekend where they placed fifth.

This meet will allow some of the younger Highlanders to get some competitive runs in as the regular season comes to an end. The coaching staff will be sending four women and no men to compete at the event. It will give these athletes some live reps to prepare them for upcoming seasons.

Assistant Coach Rob Hansen spoke about how this meet can help these athletes, "This is a good opportunity for a few folks to gain a bit of experience and compete in a strong field. We're really excited to see who is ready to put into motion the progress they've made over the past month of training."

The Titan Invitational finishes up a season that has seen the Highlanders gaining momentum for the Big West Championships. The conference championships will be November 2 and will be at the UCR Ag/Ops course where Riverside has had two meets already.
