Daniel Aguirre Named to United Soccer Coaches Organization’s All-Far West Region Team

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – UC Riverside Men's Soccer standout, Daniel Aguirre, was named to the All-Far West Region team earlier this week by the United Soccer Coaches organization.

Aguirre, a junior from Redwood City, California, was one of a record 13 Big West Conference student-athletes earning the All-Far West post-season honor this year. The All-Far West Region team consists of schools from the Big West, Pac-12 and Western Athletic conferences.

Following a sensational 2018 campaign in which he helped lead his team to the Big West Conference Tournament Championship, Aguirre continued to be an impact player for Highlanders throughout 2019.

UC Riverside Men's Soccer Head Coach, Tim Cupello, commented on the United Soccer Coaches organization's recognition of Aguirre as one of the nation's best in the west.

"Daniel is a deserving All-Region selection," said Cupello. "He has an incredible ability to break down our opponents with his movement off the ball, his one vs. one skills, and his creative combination play. I can't wait to see him finish out his collegiate career and make the same impact at the professional level next year."
