Men's Tennis Sweeps Thursday Doubleheader

RIVERSIDE, Calif.—Thursday marked yet another good outing for the UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team which swept a home doubleheader to improve to 10-8 on the season. The Highlanders topped Illinois State 6-1 in a morning matchup before downing Concordia-Irvine 5-2 in the afternoon.

"I think the guys performed very well against Illinois State, coming out to take the doubles point and fighting to a 6-1 win over a good team," Head Coach Mattias Johansson said. "The next match was a little tougher for us after playing earlier in the morning but we showed resiliency and fought through. This shows what the will to win can fo to a person despite tired bodies and minds, and rested opponents. To be able to get the second win despite all of that what a great experience to witness."
