SANTA BARBARA, Calif.—The UC Riverside Men's Tennis Team fell on the road Sunday afternoon as the Highlanders fell 4-0 to reigning champion UC Santa Barbara. UCR showed life in the doubles round, but the Gauchos' strong singles play would end the Highlanders' hopes.
UC Riverside will now look to bounce back this Friday at home on senior day as the team hosts UC Davis at 11 AM.
Coach Johansson's Take
"Our guys were very tired form, yesterday's battle with Cal Poly and UCSB was just too good. We will work on a few things to be ready for next weekend."
Match Notes
-The doubles duo of juniors Gilbert Chung and Nabil Abdallah collected the sole win for UCRÂ on the day with a convincing 6-1 victory on court three over Hironori Koyanagi and Wilhelm Saiga
