Coach's Corner
Head Coach Troy Percival talked about what it was like to be back home after such a long road trip, "It was comforting to play at home. The road has been a long, frustrating run but the boys came out with great energy and they were determined to protect our turf. This was a good start to get things rolling."
Last Week: @ CSU Bakersfield, vs. Hawai'i (3)
The Highlanders won their Tuesday matchup at CSU Bakersfield 12-1 in a game where the team found their swing and shut down the Roadrunners' bats. Their bats stay hot on Friday as they scored a season-high 16 runs in their series opener win vs. Hawai'i. Aside from one bad inning on Saturday, the team was neck and neck with Hawai'i but eventually fell to the Warriors. Riverside won the rubber match, 4-3, on Sunday with timely hitting and a great outing from sophomore
Abbott Haffar.
