Women's Tennis Drops Home Match to UCSB

RIVERSIDE, Calif.—Despite a recent hot streak for the Highlanders, a long break from competition may have got the best of the UC Riverside Women's Tennis Team which fell 7-0 to UC Santa Barbara Thursday afternoon.
In the doubles round, the Gauchos captured a 1-0 lead, but not before the duo of team of freshman Lindsey Gelinas and junior Lauren Wolfe put up a fight on court three. The Highlanders battled but ultimately fell 6-4.
In singles play, freshman Hanh Pham refused to go down on court five collecting the only set on the day for the Highlanders to force a third-set breaker. Unfortunately Pham would fall 2-6, 7-6, 4-10.
The Highlanders will look to bounce back this Saturday as the team hosts CSUN on senior day, the final home match of the season.
