Philippine Women's National Team player and University of California, Riverside alumna Quinley Quezada has completed her move to JEF United Ichihara Chiba Ladies, which will compete in Japan's first-ever women's professional football league, the WE (Women Empowerment) League.
"When I found out I felt overjoyed! I couldn't help but jump out of bed and tell my parents the great news," said Quezada. "I can't thank the people who've helped and supported me throughout this process enough. I'm immensely grateful, excited for this opportunity, and I can't wait to get started!"
Highlanders head coach Nat Gonzalez said "I am so proud of Quinley. She came into our program with a passion for the game. I am happy that our program helped to continue to ignite her passion as well as develop her into the professional she is today." Coach Gonzalez continued, "Her grit and perseverance is clear as she has been able to continue her dream of playing at the next level for the past 2.5 years since she left her mark on the Highlander's program."
