Box Score SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The University of California, Riverside (UCR) dropped the second game in a three-set Big West Series against the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) Gauchos 6-0.

Tucker Juline took the mound and kept the game scoreless through two complete innings, until a two run homerun put UCSB on the scoreboard.
The Highlanders struggled to move around the bases, even though Cole Pofek and Jacob Shanks produced two lead-off singles to get on base early, before Highlander offense was doused by the Gauchos' staunch defense.

An RBI triple from UCSB extended their lead in the fifth inning, 3-0.

In the seventh and eighth innings, the Gauchos would get three more runs across, sealing the 6-0 victory as they held the Highlanders scoreless.

The series continues tomorrow, May 22 at 1PM with the Highlanders angling to take one from the Gauchos before traveling back to the Inland Empire for senior day next week.
