
Highlanders Finish Fall Season with Third Round in Hawai’i

KAPOLEI, Hawai'i - UC Riverside closed out its fall season on Thursday with round three of the Kapolei Invitational at the Kapolei Golf Course.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Chanhee Ryu shot an impressive 66 (-6) to close out his first fall season as a Highlander, shooting 4-under on the back nine with eagles on 14 and 17.
- Josh Hu was bogey free on 17 of 18 holes with birdies on 14, one and two.
- Hu, Ryu and Mark Gao were all at or under par on the back nine.
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
- Ryu shot the program's first sub-70 round of the season to jump 16 spots up the leaderboard on the final day of the fall season, tying for the second-lowest individual score of the day out of 114 competitors.
- The Highlanders were one of four teams in the field with five eagles in the three-day event and one of four schools with multiple eagles from multiple student-athletes.
- Nik Kittilson tied for third in the field with 38 pars.
