BEAUMONT, Texas - UC Riverside dropped game two of a three-game series with Lamar on Saturday, 15-3, and will try to salvage a game from the Cardinals in Sunday's 10:00 a.m. finale at Vincent-Beck Field.
Alphonzo Mancinas went 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI to highlight UCR's offense, driving in the Highlanders' first run of the game on a single to right before cushioning the lead with a 2-0 advantage on Mason Grace's single - also to right field.
Andrew Rivas went 2 for 4 with a double and a run in game two while Andrew Gamez accounted for UCR's third run of the afternoon.
The Highlanders jumped out to a comfortable 3-0 advantage after two and a half innings, but Lamar put up five runs in the bottom of the third, at which point the Cardinals took full control of the contest.
