Tiffany Le Holds the Individual Lead after 18 Holes in Utah

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Tiffany Le carded a 69 on day one of the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational and tops the leaderboard heading into day two at the Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah.Â
The sophomore's first round included birdies on two, 10, 11 and 17, and was the lone sub-70 score in the field of over 90 golfers. Le was even par at the turn, but her three birdies on the back nine helped her shoot 3-under on the back nine to lead the pack. Vanessa Betancourt is in a tie for 15th after carding one birdie each on the front and back nine with a 2-over 74.Â
UCR is one of two schools in the 16-team leaderboard to average under five on par 5s, leading the field with a 4.50 average.Â
The Highlanders will open round two on Friday with Le teeing off on the fourth hole at 9;00 a.m.
