DAVIS, Calif. - UC Riverside fell 6-1 on a sunny Wednesday afternoon to UC Davis at the Marya Welch Tennis Center in Davis. 

Sofia Lazzaroni stretched her singles win streak to seven matches in Northern California, taking down her opponent in straight set fashion on court three. The 6-3, 7-5 win is the senior's third straight set win this season and first in Big West play. 

Lazzaroni partnered with Sydney Tran in doubles, but the duo fell 6-0 as Davis grabbed the advantage. 

Maya Youssef and Brionna Nguyen each raced out to a 1-0 advantage in singles play, but hard-fought second and third sets gave the Aggies singles victories on courts four and two, respectively. Youssef was one set shy of winning her second consecutive singles bout. 

Niki Shahbazi also showed fight on five with a tiebreaker in set two that her opponent squeaked by for the win. 

UC Riverside's Northern California road trip continues on Thursday, April 13 with a 2:00 p.m. first serve at Sacramento State.
