Women’s Tennis Falls in Season Finale in La Jolla

LA JOLLA, Calif. - UC Riverside closed out the regular season on Sunday afternoon with a 4-0 loss to UC San Diego at the Northview Courts in La Jolla.

UCR dropped the doubles point to begin the day but saw signs of fight on six in singles play. Sydney Tran bounced back for a third set with a 6-3 win in set two, but dropped set three.

Sofia Lazzaroni on one, Brionna Nguyen on two and Maya Youssef on three all went unfinished.

UCR will now prepare for next week's Big West Championship at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.
