Le Ascends Up the Leaderboard in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Tiffany Le shook off the first-round jitters and shot a 68 (-4) in Saturday's second round of the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club. Her ninth round under 70 of the season puts her in a tie for 32nd after a 58-spot jump in the leaderboard.Â
Le teed off on the back nine this time and instantly saw more success than on Friday, nearly going bogey-free with birdies on 16 and 18. She nailed a clutch approach shot on 16 that just missed the hole before finishing off with a birdie putt from one and a half feet.Â
The sophomore was dialed in from there, picking up her third birdie of the day just after the turn on two before bombing her tee shot on seven. Le finished the hole with an impressive 15-foot eagle putt.Â
Le will tee off for round three on Sunday morning at 8:22 a.m. on the back nine. Currently at 1-under 143 after 36 holes, she will need to be among the top nine individuals not on an advancing team after Sunday to advance to Monday's fourth round.Â
