Volleyball Releases 2023 Schedule

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Second-year head women's volleyball coach Nicky Cannon has released UC Riverside's 29-match slate for the 2023 season. Fans can download a schedule poster from the official 2023 schedule and tickets are now available at highlanderstickets.universitytickets.com.Â
Nine of UCR's 12 home matches will take place in Big West action after the Highlanders open the season with tourna.m.ents in Idaho, Indianapolis, and Texas in addition to hosting the Riverside Classic tourna.m.ent in the SRC Arena.
UC Riverside's season will start in the Gem State at the Idaho Volleyball Classic, taking on North Dakota State and Seattle in addition to the host Vandals. UCR will head to Indianapolis next for the Ha.m.pton Inn Invitational, hosted by Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis where the squad will also meet Eastern Illinois and Oral Roberts.Â
UCR's first action in California will take place at the Riverside Classic hosted in tandem with California Baptist on September 8, taking on Oregon State and Nevada before a Crosstown Showdown with the Lancers on September 10.
The Highlanders next head to Texas for the Dr. Pa.m. Littleton Classic hosted by Tarleton State. In the Lone Star State they will face Texas Southern and Maryland Eastern Shore in addition to their hosts.
UC Riverside will play nine of its 18 conference matches inside the SRC Arena, starting on October 5 against UC Santa Barbara following a four-match road trip to UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton, CSUN and Cal State Bakersfield to open Big West action. After hosting Cal Poly on October 7, UCR will hit the road for two matches before returning home for a single match.
The Highlanders will then head to Hawaii before hosting six matches in a row at home from October 26 to November 11.
UCR's final two Big West matches of the season will be on the road, facing Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara on November 17 and 18, respectively.Â
